But when his father rescues him from an ambush, Brandon realizes he's a pawn being played by his superiors to draw out the killer. *MYSTERY/DRAMA*    Screenwriter Hossein Amini (The Wings of the Dove, Drive) makes a stylish directing debut with this sleek thriller set in Greece and Istanbul, 1962, and adapted from Patricia Highsmith's novel. Intrigue begins at the Parthenon when wealthy American tourists Chester MacFarland (Viggo Mortensen) and his young wife Collete (Kirsten Dunst) meet American expat Rydal (Oscar Isaac), a scammer working as a tour guide. Instead of becoming his latest marks, the two befriend him, but a murder at the couple's hotel puts all three on the run together and creates a precarious bond between them as the trio's allegiance is put to the test.

*CRIME/SUSPENSE*    THIRD PERSON tells three stories of love, passion, trust and betrayal, in a multi-strand story line reminiscent of Paul Haggis's earlier Oscar-winning film Crash. The tales play out in New York, Paris and Rome: three couples who appear to have nothing related but share deep commonalities: lovers and estranged spouses, children lost and found.

*ACTION/DRAMA*   A Muslim ex-con forms a friendship with his parole officer.  A small town in Texas surrounded by desert which, time and again as the day breaks, disgorges an increasing number of Mexicans who have either been murdered or have died of thirst. A convict is released from prison. Thanks to his new-found Muslim faith, William Garnett’s behavior has been exemplary and, with the aid of a sympathetic parole officer, he begins a new life in the town. But his past is well-known and before long, a sheriff bent on revenge and an ex-crony from the underworld are both breathing down his neck. Garnett must conquer the demons of his past. He finds support in the shape of his parole officer, his faith and a new love. Rachid Bouchareb’s La voie de l'ennemi is a new adaptation of the 1973 thriller Deux hommes dans la ville, in which novelist and director José Giovanni, who himself served a prison sentence, explored the injustices of the French judicial system.
