A wild, party-night out leads three twenty-something women
to stumble on a suitcase with 3 million dollars in cash. Three down-on-their-luck, twenty-something,
female roommates are living paycheck to paycheck in a rundown apartment. Kris
(Carly Pope), the accountant, Tara (Samaire Armstrong), the rocker chick; and
Sammi (Diora Baird), the party girl who is vain, foolish, selfish and a great
deal of fun. One night roaming around the warehouse District looking for a
party, Tara and Sammi stumble across $3 Million dollars in a suitcase amidst
the bloody aftermath of a gangland drug shootout. Tara wants to bolt, but Sammi
wades through the blood and gore to pull the case of money away. Excited about
the cash, the girls bring it home to Kris, who wants them to put it back. The
girls decide to keep the money but need to smuggle it out of the country.
However, the plans become more complicated when Sammi mentions the money to her
bumbling boyfriend Karl (Brian Thomas Smith).

Ridley Scott's THE COUNSELOR, from a script by Cormac
McCarthy, stars Michael Fassbender as the title character, a slick lawyer who
is madly in love with Laura (Penelope Cruz). He asks her to marry him, and she
agrees, though she is unaware that serious financial troubles have prompted him
to fund a drug deal with a shady but established middle man named Westray (Brad
Pitt), that could bring in millions. Part of the counselor's financial troubles
stem from the fact that he's investing in a club being opened by his best
friend Reiner (Javier Bardem), a hedonist and occasional client who has
attained his wealth by any means necessary, and likes to keep his wife, Malkina
(Cameron Diaz) covered in all the accoutrements the wealthy enjoy.However, when
the drug deal starts to go wrong, the counselor finds himself unprepared to
deal with the fallout, and soon he's trying to protect his bride-to-be as well
as himself from the wrath of a drug cartel that has no qualms about exacting
revenge.
Two youths from the Brooklyn projects attempt to fend for
themselves on the streets after their parents are arrested in this urban drama
from director George Tillman Jr. (NOTORIOUS, FASTER). It's summer in New York
City, and 14-year-old Mister (Skylan Brooks) is hungry. His irresponsible
mother unable to hold down a job, Mister's situation goes from bad to worse
when she is taken into custody, and Child Protective Services attempts to track
him down. Meanwhile, Mister's nine-year-old friend Pete (Ethan Dizon) finds
himself in the same sinking boat. Together, Mister and Pete search for
sustenance while attempting to avoid the violence that plagues their
neighborhood. All the while Mister grows to feel invincible, never realizing
that it's his vulnerability -- not his youthful bravado -- that's truly his
saving grace. Jennifer Hudson, Jeffrey Wright, Anthony Mackie, and Adewale
Akinnuoye-Agbaje co-star.
A scheming squirrel named Surly (voiced by Will Arnett)
gathers a crackerjack crew of critters to pull off a heist of the local nut
shop so that they will have enough food to make it through the winter. Liam
Neeson, Brendan Fraser, Katherine Heigl, and Gabriel Iglesias also lend their
voices to this upbeat animated caper comedy.
A skilled young hit man is new in town and hooks up with a
prominent local crime family. Trusted with his first hit, things go decidedly
off-course when he discovers his target was hiding much darker secrets than Ray
was prepared for. Ray is new in town and needs work. Unlike most young men his
age, Ray has taken a much darker path in his career - he's a hit man. A former
solider, war has brought out the darkness within him. Using his connections,
Ray quickly hooks up with a prominent local crime family and is almost
immediately given his first assignment. He sets out to handle the task at hand
but upon arrival he immediately senses that something is off. The situation is
much worse than anyone could have expected. What he discovers changes him
forever and sets him on an alternate path to set straight the dark, twisted
turn of events that he's had the misfortune of stumbling onto.
